Danita Art teaches mixed Media and watercolor techniques in fairy tale paintings on her new collaborative book, EVER AFTER

Hello everyone!

I have some wonderful & exciting news! Tamara Laporte from  Willowing Arts has written a 2nd book! It’s called ‘Ever After: Create Fairy Tale-Inspired Mixed-Media Art Projects to  Develop Your Personal Artistic Style’ and I get to give away a  copy!

Let me tell you a bit more about Tam’s new book in case you haven’t heard about it yet!

Let the wisdom and enchantment of timeless fables and fiction help you achieve your creative goals! From celebrated mixed-media artist and author of “Create Your Life Book” Tamara Laporte, Ever After is a rich collection of step-by-step mixed-media art lessons inspired by fairy tales, folk tales, and classic fiction.

Danita Art in her new collaborative book, Ever After where she teaches amazing mixed media techniques to develop your art techniques

Based on one of Tamara’s popular series of online classes, Ever After addresses the most
frequently asked question she receives from her students: “How do I develop my own creative style?”

In addition to the beautiful art lessons created especially for this book by Tamara and eight other noted mixed-media artists, each chapter offers creative exercises that invite readers to explore stories, their symbolism, and a specific aspect of style development as they work toward and
ultimately achieve their artistic goals.

• The Story of You. Explore the experiences, feelings, and ideas that stir your passion, and
how to adapt and change motifs and other visual elements to make them your own.

• Inspiration: How to Find It, How to Use It. Examine how to stay open to inspiration,
incorporate it into your art practice, and integrate it into your artwork.

• Comfort Zones & Productivity. Learn strategies for working through your fear and
dedicating time to your artmaking.

• Dealing with Challenges & Deepening Your Voice. Find guidance for starting a
mindfulness practice to help you deal with harsh feedback, and for allowing yourself the joy of continually evolving your story, your message, and your style.

Ever After will teach you to tell your own unique stories through artmaking so that your wish—to become the artist you’ve always wanted to be—is sure to come true!

  6. I would love a copy of this book because of its brilliant idea of combining symbolism storytelling, art and psychology to a wonderful and fun healing modality. I find Tamara’s work directly work with my wounds.
Now this book is also introducing me to more number of artists!
I would love to win a copy of this book as mixed media and whimsical art are out of my comfortzone.

  7. Hello! Thanks for sharing your gifts and this opportunity!
Having a copy of Tam’s book means I could hold the pictures in my hands and be inspired in more ways than on the computer! Having access to all those lessons from all those teachers whom I admire would be quite motivational. And I could do a lesson with a friend!

  8. So keeping my fingers crossed to win a copy of this book as I really wanted to sign up for the Ever After course but couldn’t as my partner gifted me the Life Book 2019 course which I more than hinted at him for and already I am behind so he was the wise one as it’s true I would have put myself under too much self pressure. The book would be a dream as I could dip into it and be inspired along with Life Book videos! 🙂

  9. Well, first, this is the most beautiful book I’ve ever seen. Second, thank you so much for your contribution to it and for the giveaway opportunity! Much more importantly, Tamara is such an inspiration to me and her spiritual-creative approach to art has helped me, as a disabled artist, branch out and explore new areas of creative expression after losing many outlets due to illness. It’s like therapy to help me manage my pain and all the emotional consequences of living with chronic illness. I’m learning to reconnect with that wounded part of me so that I can constructively and healthfully work through it all, and I’m eternally grateful. I would adore a copy of my very own. My medical expenses are intense, so this would be truly the greatest gift. This book is the one thing that can help me do better at dealing with my feelings. The lessons will help me find my voice and feel whole within my creative self, and I really need help with that. I fell in in love with with mixed media and I love all things magical and fantastical, and I think fairytales are a perfect way for me to regain my confidence and find joy! I’m ready to be free of the obstacles and physical limitations that make their way into my mind and, far too often, nearly convince me that I won’t be able to do this, either. I know this book can help me! It’s come at the perfect time. Thank you again!

A book I see here in my Studio..a must!

    Thank you Danita!

  30. I’d love to win a copy. I know I’ll be buying one, but winning is better!
I really want to develop my own style. I love watching you experiment with mediums, yet always your style is unmistakable.

  31. Winning a copy of Tamara’s book would mean so much to me! If it weren’t for Tamara’s heart, kindness, love, self acceptance, practicing mindfulness in everthing that she shares, says, and does in her art classes, I would still be battling fear, insecurity about myself, and the art that I create. She has really helped me immensely through her teaching, to practice self acceptance, self love, self compassion, mindfulness, and that it’s okay to mess up, and that I don’t have to be perfect. I think that I would have never picked up a pencil or a paintbrush because of the critical voice inside who tells me that I am not enough, that I am not worthy, that I don’t matter, and my art isn’t good enough. If it weren’t for her class that she offers and mind you for free, her class “Art, Heart, & Healing” which was a Godsend for me, I know that I would not be creating art and nevertheless in a journal. She has helped me so much to practice all the things that I mentioned, in things that she teaches in her class and in her books. I would be so honored and it would be such a privilege to have a copy of her book. I never win anything. But, even if I don’t win, that’s okay. I am happy that her book will be a blessing to whoever does win. I am eternally grateful to Tamara for all that I have learned and continue to learn about self love, self acceptance, self compassion, and mindfulness. This is why I want her book. I want to continue to learn and grow so that I can contine to spread my wings and fly.
